When I am not kiting my job is: I’m a graphic designer for several kitesurf and clothing brands. I’m also doing some of the graphics for Epic kites. Also I’m a ski and snowboard instructor. I’ve got a Austrian licence to teach both sports. And I spend several winters in Austria sofar. Nowadays I teach here in the Netherlands too in a indoor hall.
Best Place to kite: If theres wind and water, it’s a good place to ride. At the moment Workum and Mirns in the Netherlands are my favorites. But warmer places would be nice too.
Favorite trick: At the moment my favorite trick is A backroll Kiteloop.
Favorite Music: I like many styles. My favorite is melodic Black Metal, like Dimmu Borgir. But also industrial/pop/rock. Or music that’s under snowboard movies. My other favorite bands are, HIM, Apoptygma Berzerk, The Ark, Royksopp, The Kovenant. Or simply classic music on a Sunday morning makes me happy too.
Favorite Movie: My favorite movie is Out Cold, a snowboarding comedy. “Carpe the diem” I love feel good movies. No drama please. And I love big blockbusters like Transformers. First time I saw that movie in the theater, my eyes we’re as big as plates, and my jaw was somewhere on the ground.
Want to travel to: Anywhere with either snow and mountains, or water and wind are good.
